I've killed 2 deer so far with the .300 BLK, both neck shots. Had a third run off, with a poorly placed subsonic shoulder shot. The 300 blackout doesn't quite get to the performance of the 30-30 or 7.62x39. It doesn't miss it by much. Mine is more accurate than any ak in the 600 dollar range. It also holds its own pretty good with the 30-30 once it gets out to 100 yards. Mine shoots about 1.5" groups at 100 yards.
